Algal cells from Wednesday’s Dash….

Marian and Tom have been busy processing algae collected on the the first Dash from camp to the snow line on Wednesday. They report the following…..

Desiring to be alone at base camp – just a couple of 2-celled filaments of Ancylonema.

The cells are typically 5-20 µm long.

Red spore of a snow alga in the middle ( a rarity).
