Field Team settling in on the ice

I just spoke to the field team for our daily briefing. The weather is fair, morale is high, and the personal and mess tents are all up. There was a kettle boiling as we spoke, and a report that food last night was great. The solar panels are just starting to produce power, which means that we can keep our generator usage to a minimum, so reducing local contamination with combustion products, such as soot and nitrogen oxides.  The science tent is up too, and the team will undertake the first recce of where they want to sample this morning. Black and Bloom is in go field mode at last!
